Hemel Hempstead - One day based in Hemel Hempstead, and one day based in Witham, 3 days working from home.
Responsible for looking after account and/or projects from initial concept to completion - through design process to production whilst ensuring an exceptional client service.
- Full accountability for the packaging project timeline from design briefing through to production at the factory – Microsoft Project (timings)
- Host milestone meetings: kick-off, design reviews, artwork starts, and post-implementation reviews.
- Sending out all minutes from every call – templates provided
- Manage all projects through the Wave system
- Maintain open and regular communication between stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives.
- Establish budgets and estimates covering all costs including, creative artwork, artwork, repro, CGI, and plates – creating estimates for all projects and ensuring they stay accurate as the project progresses
- Ensure risks are flagged early and milestones remain on track.
- Maintain category activity plans for visibility of peak volumes and potential clashes. (forward loading)
- Attend weekly client catch-up calls, providing updates and identifying opportunities for improvement on timings or process
- Build relationships with clients – 121 meetings with your specific brand managers monthly or bi weekly if project heavy
- Seek opportunities to upsell core services – i.e, colour lab, photography, creative artwork
- Manage creative artwork with client and studio
- Booking into core and ensuring timelines are met
- Reviewing design work before presenting/sharing with the client
- Manage and organise all print trials for new designs
- Booking into core and ensuring timelines are met – organise pre artwork call to discuss in detail
- Gain approval on Wave and release files to printer
- Attend print trials when possible to do so (as client and design agency attend)
Requirements:
- Packaging industry experience - ideally food packaging
- Knowledge of design, retail, brand and packaging
- Proven account / project management within an agency / design or packaging manufacturers
- Experience in either the retail / FMCG markets
- Knowledge of print or repro
- Technical knowledge or printing processes – print and packaging
- Ability to work in the FMCG sector
- Team collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
